Join us during sensory-friendly hours for families with disabilities and experience Discovery Place Science in a calmer, quieter environment.
Sensory-friendly hours are now monthly, starting on August 4 and will continue on the first Sunday of every month from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. This experience is included in Museum Admission!

At Discovery Place, we make science and hands-on learning accessible to everyone.
That’s why we are hosting a special Sensory-Friendly Hours at Discovery Place Science!
We’ve crafted these low-sensory hours for families with sensory sensitivities and special needs to enjoy the Museum’s hands-on exhibit spaces in a calmer and quieter environment.
During your visit to the Museum, families can experience a sensory-friendly IMAX show or even check out sensory backpacks with noise-canceling headphones, sensory-friendly toys, and manipulatives.
We invite all children with Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD), Sensory Processing Disorders and vision or hearing impairments and their caregivers to interact with our experiences.
*Backpacks are on a first-come, first-serve basis. Supplies are limited.
