However, one species stands tall – the TYRANNOSAURUS REX, the legendary “tyrant lizard king.” Advancements in computer-generated imagery (CGI) and paleontological research over the past 25 years have opened new opportunities to revisit this iconic dinosaur on the prestigious Accenture IMAX Dome Theatre at Discovery Place Science.

In a collaborative effort between leading tyrannosaur scientists, natural history institutions and pioneering paleontology and visual effects artists, GSF produces an original giant-screen documentary focused on the T. REX and its fellow carnivorous cousins from the Cretaceous period. Leveraging the latest scientific discoveries and cutting-edge technology, this film aims to deliver the most visually stunning and scientifically accurate portrayal of the T. REX ever created.
