What is the DP Science Circle?
The DP Science Circle is a giving society that supports Discovery Place Science, Charlotte’s most popular cultural institution, welcoming 800,000 guests each year from all 50 states and across North Carolina.
Since its founding in 1947, Discovery Place has been a national leader in STEM education, offering high-energy, inquiry-based experiences that inspire learners of all ages.
Today, Discovery Place provides field trips, outreach, camps, youth development programs, and exhibitions that serve over 100,000 students annually. Reaching more than half of all K–12 students in Charlotte through economic accessibility programs, over 200,000 guests have enjoyed transformative learning opportunities.
