Our experienced instructor, Chris Plonski with the Charlotte Amateur Astronomers Club, will show you how to use your camera and equipment to capture stars, planets, and galaxies.

About the Expert

Chris Plonski, based in rural Chesterfield County, SC, is an IT professional at Ally Financial with almost 50 years of Engineering and IT experience. His passion for astrophotography comes from a lifelong interest in science, starting with experiments from the Edmund Scientific Catalog. A member of the Charlotte Amateur Astronomers Club since 2016, he operates a personal observatory at the club’s GHRO facility in Lancaster County, SC. His astrophotography work has received recognition on Astrobin.com, a leading platform for amateur astrophotographers.
