Why Our Camps are Perfect for 6, 7 & 8 Year Olds
Age-Appropriate Curriculum
We understand that a 6-year-old learns differently than a 10-year-old. Our curriculum for this age band is designed with shorter instruction blocks and more active, kinetic learning to keep high-energy 7 and 8-year-olds engaged.
Safe & Supportive Staff
Transitioning to a full-day camp can be big for a 6-year-old. Our counselors are trained to support the social-emotional needs of early elementary children, ensuring everyone makes friends and feels included.
FAQ for Parents of 6-8 Year Olds
Q: My child is 6 but hasn’t started 1st grade yet. Can they attend?
A: Our camps are based on rising grade levels. If your 6-year-old is entering 1st grade in the fall of 2026, these camps are perfect. If they are entering Kindergarten, please check out our [Link] Camps for 5 & 6 Year Olds (Kindergarten).
Q: Is there nap time for 6-year-olds?
A: We do not have a scheduled nap time. Our camps for ages 6-8 are action-packed, but we do alternate between high-energy activities and quieter, focused tasks to keep campers rested and attentive.
